About me
My name is Jack Oliver Eric Pearson Im currently a second year studying fine furniture design and making at Buckinghamshire new university.
I got into furniture through my mother who was a silversmith, now a hobbyist furniture maker. I left school and went to collage to do my city and guilds level 1,2 and 3, I passed that with distinctions, I also became the inspirational student for that course.
While at collage and university I worked for a number of furniture makers all bespoke. Wentworth furniture, My Farthers Heart and Mark Asplin Whitely.
I have also privately made furniture for a farm shop, and restored a 17th centaury rosewood Davenport desk and furniture for other clients. I have recently been presented with the St Giles Furniture award, in recognition of excellence in craft and design for my writing desk and hallway structure, which will include the two pieces been on display in St Giles showroom in Gerrards Cross, London.My hallway piece will also be on display at the "New Forrest fine crafted wood" exhibition and competition on the 25th 26th 27th July 2011
About me ! i enjoy sport and outdoor activities i must always be doing something and get board very easily if not, I play rugby for Rotherham Phoenix in Yorkshire three, cricket for Thorncliffe and represented Sheffield, squash, walking, skiing, mounting biking XC and very mild down hilling,I have toured the UK, Hungary, Slovenia and Ireland with Bolsterstone male voice choir and when i was younger toured with City of Sheffield youth choir
